Told through the perspective of different characters, Salt Houses allows the reader to understand the conflicts that mold who they are as individuals, and how it affects them as family. some great, some good, a couple just okay in my opinion, but the language is consistently tight, controlled, and the characters are compelling. And as we all know, expectation is the mother of all disappointment. For example, I still don’t know what the purpose was of the chapter in which Hart saves Stu’s life.
