ghout the year. ln addition, the Yearbook of agricultural Statistics is published annually exclusively with agriculture related data. Estimates of 124 crops are made, of these 6 are major ( Aus, Aman, Boro, Jute, Wheat and Potato) and 118 are minor crops. Both subjective and objective methods are used for major crop estimation. Objective method is primarily used for major crops and subjective method for minor crops. Subjective method of data collection is also used for major crop as a check. Data are collected through Upazilla Thana Statistical Offices in prescribed froms and questionnaires. These data are sent to the Agriculture wing, BBS head quarter after checking and compiling at regional office level. Secondary data are also used from other organizations such as the Department of Forestry, Department of Fisheries, Department of Meteorology, BADC, Department of Agriculture marketing and Department of Agriculture Extension.
